Paying: cash, card and gift card
Change, split payments and checking a gift card balance.
After Checkout you choose how the guest pays. The amount is always shown at the top under To pay.
Cash
Enter what you receive under Amount received. The register works out the change for you. If it is too little, you see how much is still short.
Card
Choose Card and confirm once the payment has gone through on your card machine.
Gift card
Enter the code and tap Look up balance. You then see what is left on it. If that is not enough for the full amount, the register says so and you settle the rest another way.
If the guest is known and has a gift card in their name, it is listed under “This customer's gift card”. You do not have to retype the code.
Split payment
Does the guest want to pay partly in cash and partly by card? Choose Split payment and divide the amount. The register shows what is left to allocate, or when you have gone over.
Want to divide the bill between several people rather than across two payment methods? Then you need “Split bill”, not this button.
