Printing receipts and kitchen tickets
The difference between a customer receipt and a kitchen ticket, plus the pickup number.
Once an order is paid, the Print receipts screen appears. It has two buttons, and they do different things.
- Customer receipt — proof of payment for the guest, with the products and the amount paid
- Kitchen ticket — the work ticket for the kitchen, with the dishes and the notes you added to the lines
The pickup number
Every order gets a pickup number. It is printed on the receipt and you use it to call out whose order is ready.
Printer not responding? Check under Settings whether your printer is still connected. Without a printer you can simply finish the order with “New order”.
Print the kitchen ticket at checkout, not later. The kitchen can then start while you help the next customer.
