Closing the register
Closing the day, counting the drawer and spotting differences.
At the end of the day you close the register. Onavan then compares what should be in the drawer with what you actually count.
- 1
Open the day close
You do this from the register, through the register's own menu.
- 2
Count the drawer
Enter how much cash is in the drawer.
- 3
Check the difference
You see the expected amount, the counted amount and the difference between them.
- 4
Confirm
The close is recorded with your name and the time.
If you linked a Checklist task to “Register closed”, that task ticks itself off as soon as you confirm the close.
Every close is kept, so you can look back at who closed which day and whether there were any differences.
