Adding a custom amount
Ringing up something that is not on your menu.
The Custom amount button puts something on the order that is not a product in your system. Think deposits, a tip or a one-off arrangement with a guest.

Tap “Custom amount”
The button sits with the product list.

Enter a description
For example “Deposit” or “Tip”. That text appears on the receipt.

Enter the amount
Then tap Add and it is on the order.
Ringing something up as a custom amount often? Make it a real product under Products. It then counts properly in your reports, which a custom amount does not do at product level.
