Searching products and scanning barcodes
Finding a product faster than clicking through categories.
Besides the categories, the register has two quicker ways to find a product.
Searching
Type a few letters of the name in the Search product... field. The list filters as you type. Clear takes you back to the categories.
Scanning barcodes
Got a barcode scanner? Scan the code while the register is open — the Scan or type a barcode + Enter field picks it up and puts the product straight on the order. Typing a code and pressing Enter works just as well.
No scanner to hand? Use Scan with camera and point the camera at the product's barcode or QR code.
Barcode not working? It is probably not on the product yet. Add the barcode under Products and scanning will work from then on.
A product that has run out shows “Sold out” and cannot be rung up. Adjust the stock under Products › Stock if you want to keep selling it.
