Roster and time tracking
Planning shifts, having hours clocked and seeing labour costs.
Planning and time tracking sit in four parts that work together.
- Roster — where you plan who works when
- Time clock — where staff clock in and out
- Labour costs — what the hours worked cost you
- Leave — requesting and approving days off
Planning a shift
- 1
Open the Roster
Pick the week you want to plan.
- 2
Add shifts
Set a start and end time per staff member.
- 3
Check leave
Approved leave requests show up, so you do not schedule someone who is off.
Getting hours right
Staff clock in and out under Time clock. Clocked hours sit alongside the roster, so you immediately see where someone worked longer or shorter than planned.
Check the hours before you run payroll. A forgotten clock-out keeps running and counts as a wildly long shift.
