Reservation statuses

What each status means and when to set it.

Every reservation has a status. It decides how it is coloured in the agenda and whether the table counts as occupied.

  • Pending — booked, but not yet confirmed by you
  • Confirmed — you are expecting the guest
  • Seated — the guest has arrived and is sitting
  • Completed — the guest has left
  • Cancelled — the reservation is not going ahead
  • No-show — the guest did not turn up without cancelling

Set “Seated” as soon as the guest arrives. Your floor plan then matches reality and you can see which tables are genuinely free.

Only use “No-show” when the guest truly did not turn up, not when someone cancelled properly. Onavan tracks no-shows per guest and warns you on a future booking — that only works if the status is right.
